The YomiCon Blog has officially been taken over this week by members of the YomiCon Host Club! (We hope you are following us on Facebook!!)
The Host Club is a group of dedicated teens who are helping plan all aspects of YomiCon 2012 -- we've got our fingers in all the pies!
This year, the Host Club has been hard at work coming up with ideas for YomiCon and designing the panels. This week, we'll be telling you all about each of the sessions we're hosting and what to expect at the con this year!
Every year, lots of parents come with us to YomiCon. And we KNOW that lots of parents help y'all make your costumes...So this year, we decided to change things up a bit and help spread the manga-love by schooling your parents in all things Anime.
The Manga & Cosplay 101 Panel is JUST for parents of teens who love anime, manga and cosplay, and we're here to give you all the info you need, so you'll understand why your teenager loves manga so much and why they REALLY appreciate you staying up late to help sew stripes on their Auron costume! ^_^
At this panel, parents will learn about many types of Japanese pop culture, including:
- Manga
- Anime
- Fandom
- Cosplay
- Genres of manga/anime
We have been working very hard on our presentation! Our goal is to explain and teach parents about anime and manga and what they're all about.
