Filming and Photography at the Library
Thank you for your interest in shooting at the Library! We allow filming and photography shoots as long as they do not interfere in any way with the public’s regular use of the Library and do not block access to public areas or resources.
Pplease be as specific as possible about what areas of the building you would like to shoot. This will expedite the review and approval process.
You must submit your application 5-7 business days in advance of your shoot.
Complete a fully detailed Application and Agreement for Filming/Commercial Photography and Proof of Insurance.*
Email the completed form to the Austin Public Library's Office of Programs and Partnerships.
NOTE: A Site Plan may be required dependent upon the scope of activities.
The Office of Programs and Partnerships will coordinate with the Location/Branch Manager and the Facilities Process Manager to review the details of your activities, recommend modifications or approval and issue approvals.
*There is a separate application process and a rental fee for the Austin Central Library's Special Event Center. Visit library.austintexas.gov/rental for information on rental spaces.
