Kick off Bike Month at the third annual Bike In Book Swap on Saturday, May 5 from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at the Twin Oaks Branch, 1800 S. 5th St. We will have free bike tune-ups, courtesy of Bicycle Sports Shop, bicycle maintenance classes courtesy of the Yellow Bike Project (with free patch kits and tire levers for everyone who attends), a pannier-making class, bicycle registration with APD, a Kid's Kup Bike Rodeo put on by Bike Texas, free City of Austin Bike Route Maps from the Public Works Department, all kinds of bike themed crafts ranging from sewing projects for adults to bicycle pennants for kids and custom, handmade reflectors for all ages, a Flatland BMX demo put on by the pros from OG Flatland Stunt Team, and our City's famous "take a book, leave a book" style book swap. Bring the kids, bring your books, ride your bike and have some fun!
