From the Shandong region of China comes the traditional folksong of Tiger Woman, adapted by Laurence Yep in his picture book by the same name. The main character is a grumpy, greedy and selfish old woman, who, through a series of magical mis-adventures, learns a lesson in generosity and sharing, from a wizard disguised as an old beggar.
This spring, Literature Live! is bringing this story to life through a table top puppet show of Tiger Woman. The show opens on February 5 and runs through April 25.
