The Austin Public Library and The Library Foundation presents bands from the Electric Lady Bird collection to celebrate Black History Month with a Black Joy and Resistance Concert Series that highlights the amazing talent of our local black musicians and their counterparts. This showcase will provide space to cultivate a sense of joy that honors the humanity, resilience, and diverse talent in our black community.

About the Musician

In the wake of their current success, Honey Made is expanding their roots beyond the Austin music scene. Honey Made draws inspiration from artists like James Brown, Sly and the Family Stone, Prince, Parliament-Funkadelic, and Earth, Wind, and Fire. Their sound can be described as primal soul drenched in colorful vibrant vocal frequencies, sparkling funk and fluid instrumentation. They are known to galvanize a celebratory party full of dance, laughter and communal connections!
