FAQ

Q: What is your return policy?

A: Customers may return items within 60 days for a full refund via the original form of payment. A receipt is preferred and please guarantee the items are in their original condition- with tags and in their original packaging. Customers may exchange items as long as they have a receipt and as long as the items are not damaged.

Q: What is the price range of items? 

A: From a button for $0.75 to a used collectable book for $150. Our goal is to sell a wide variety of products to a diverse customer base. 

Q: Can I place an item on hold?

A: Yes. We will hold items for 3 days. If you have not returned to buy them in that time, they will return to the sales floor.

Q:  If I book a private event at Central Library will the gift shop stay open for my guests?

A: No. The gift shop will not stay open for any private events. The only time the gift shop will extend its hours is for an official Library event.

Q: Do you host pop-up shops?

A: Yes. Please send us an email with specific details and we will determine if it is a good fit: libraryshop@austintexas.gov
