Join the Austin History Center on Austin Museum Day with all‑ages activities, tours, and treats. Explore In Circulation: A Century of the Austin Public Library, a new exhibit highlighting APL’s history, community impact, and legacy.

To celebrate Austin Public Library’s Centennial, we’re presenting In Circulation: A Century of the Austin Public Library, an exhibit tracing APL’s evolution from its early reading room to a citywide institution shaped by advocacy, public service, and community participation. Through archival photos, timelines, architectural history, and stories of access and civic change, the exhibit highlights how APL has influenced Austin’s cultural and public life over the past century.

Activities include:
Tours of Historic Block 101 with Black Austin Tours
• Behind‑the‑scenes tours of the Austin History Center
• Drop‑in collaging with local artist Xochi Solis
Live screen‑printing by RawPaw of a vintage APL logo (while supplies last)
Stanley and the Dinosaurs puppet show by Literature Live!
Green screen photo booth with historic Austin images
• …and more!

Enjoy small bites from Bao’d Up and The Cupcake Bar (while supplies last).

We look forward to seeing you!
