Make an Appointment
- Appointments open three days before the appointment time.
- New appointment times open every 15 minutes.
- When someone takes all appointments, the page will say “Currently unavailable.”
- We cannot make passport appointments by phone or email.
- We can answer your passport questions, but you need an appointment to apply.
- No walk-ins.
Example: If you want a Saturday 2:00 p.m. appointment, it will appear on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m.

What to Bring for Your Passport Appointment
You must bring these with you:
- Form DS-11 (First-time U.S. Passport Application)
- Do not sign it yet.
- Fill the form out completely in black ink or type it.
- Print the form on one side only from travel.state.gov/applyinperson.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship (bring one of these):
- Your original or certified copy of your U.S. birth certificate
- Your original U.S. Certificate of Naturalization
- Your U.S. Passport
- Your original Consular Report of U.S. Birth Abroad
(We keep this document with your application.)
- Photo ID (must be valid and not expired)
- Payment: We will send in your personal check or money order to the U.S. Department of State with your application.
(No electronic payments.) - For kids: Children must come to the appointment with both parents.
*Renewals: You can use Form DS-11 to apply to renew your passport in our office. We cannot take the mail-in renewal Form DS-82.

We Can Notarize
- Acknowledgment: We check that the person who signed the paper is really who they say they are. This is for papers up to 15 pages.
- Oath or Affirmation: We ask the person to promise that what they wrote or said is true. This is also for papers up to 15 pages.
We Cannot Notarize
- Wills or other legal papers
- Money or financial papers
- Copies of IDs, birth certificates, or marriage certificates
- Passport forms
- Real estate papers
- Papers written in another language
IDs We Accept
- U.S. driver’s license
- U.S. state ID card
- U.S. passport
- U.S. military ID
- U.S. permanent resident card (green card)
We cannot accept IDs from other countries. This is a Texas rule.

- Notary: $10 for one or two signatures per document.

- If your old passport was given to you when you were 16 or older and it expired less than 5 years ago (and it’s been under 15 years since it was first issued), you might be able to renew by mail.
If You Renew in Person
You must:
- Fill out Form DS-11 (Passport Application)
- Pay the $35 acceptance fee
We cannot take Form DS-82 for in-person renewals.

- If one parent can’t come:
- Notarized consent form (DS-3053) + copy of parent’s ID
- Court order for sole custody
- Birth certificate with one parent listed
Ages 16–17:
- Must show parent knows about the application (parent can come, pay, or confirm ID).
