Unboxing the Archives: Entering a New Era of the Austin History Center

The Austin History Center Association is ending 2025 with a grand re-opening celebration for the Austin History Center in the newly renovated John Henry Faulk Library Building!

We're having a ceremony to commemorate the event that will include speeches from Mayor Kirk Watson, Congressman Lloyd Doggett, Interim Library Director Hannah Terrell, and our City Council Member Zo Qadri from 1:00-2:00 pm.

This ceremony is open to the public and free for all to attend.

We also invite you to join us between 2:00-4:00 pm for an open house of the new space after the ceremony. Activities include an opportunity to join a group tour, view our exhibits, listen to an exhibit talk, participate in a scavenger hunt, and receive a commemorative poster of this event.

Celebrate with the Library!
