Sábados en familia: Stories and Crafts por toda la familia!

Sábados en Familia is a free kids’ cultural arts and crafts program delivered by the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican-American Cultural Center. This month, we will be reading "Together We Drum, Our Hearts Beat as One" by Willie Poll. With a moving and powerful book about Indigenous resistance and female empowerment, the participants will be making and decorating their own mini drums while enjoying a beautiful dance performance by Mario Ramirez and Sarah Mendez from Kalpulli Mitotiliztli Yaoyollohtli (Heart of the Warrior)!

Drop by the library and make a craft while you search for books, movies and music. We've got paper crafts, easy sewing and more fun projects for the whole family. We provide the supplies; you provide the creativity. Program length is approximately 1 hour.
