The Crafty Adult: Weft-faced Weaving

featuring Juliann Krute

Monday, November 30 - 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Howson Branch
2500 Exposition Blvd.

In this workshop, you will learn to weave coasters on simple cardboard looms using easy techniques anyone can learn. The weaving method itself is universal, but you will have the chance to draw inspiration from Choctaw color stories and motifs, like half-diamonds and bold contrast, that honor the Grandfather Diamondback. Every piece will be unique, meaningful, and entirely yours. This program is led by Choctaw tribe member Juliann Krute. All supplies will be provided. No previous experience is necessary. First come, first served. Limited to 25 seats.

Are you a crafter? Do you wish you were a crafter? We’ll focus on a different craft every month; we’ll learn the basics, we’ll learn the ins and outs, and then we’ll let loose. Come learn with us!
