In September, we're reading Big Jim and the White Boy by David Walker, Kwame Alexander, and Isabell Struble. This retelling of the classic Huck Finn is told from the point of view of Jim, an enslaved Black man searching for his missing wife and children, rather than the precocious Huckleberry Finn.
