Virtual Graphic Novel Book Club Jr

Are you a kid who loves reading comics? Then come join us as we explore a different middle grade graphic novel each month. Ages 8 to 12.

In August, we'll be reading Weirdo by Tony Weaver, Jr. and Jes & Cin Wibowo. When eleven-year-old Tony changes schools, all his new classmates think he's a weirdo for loving comic books, anime, and video games. Tony tries to conform to stop the bullying, but after a traumatic event, he must begin a journey to love himself again.

Please note: there is implied self-harm in this title. It is treated in an age-appropriate way, but please be aware.

Registration closes at noon on Wednesday, August 19.
