History Harvest: Help Document Spicewood Springs Branch History!
Celebrate Austin Public Library's Centennial by shaping the historical record!
Do you have old photos or handouts from an event or program that you attended at Spicewood Springs Branch Library?
Do you have a story to share about how Spicewood Springs impacted your life?
Maybe you met your best friend at a Crafty Adult program or your child took their first steps during a storytime?
This is a great opportunity to share your favorite memories about Spicewood Springs Branch Library so that they can be included in the archival collections at the Austin History Center (AHC). All items shared will be added to the AHC's archives so that future researchers can learn about Spicewood Springs' history.
At this event we will have the following activities to choose from:
Photo Harvest
- Bring 2-3 photos or items from a Spicewood Springs program or event to scan.
Storytelling
- Participate in a storytelling discussion with other folks who are sharing their memories about Spicewood Springs.
- The audio will be recorded for this activity.
- You can choose to have your name recorded or remain anonymous.
Remember when...?
- Share your memories by responding to prompts and writing on notecards.
