
Disability Dialogues: Crip Camp Screening & Discussion
Join us for a screening and discussion of the documentary Crip Camp, which tells the story of a ramshackle summer camp for disabled teenagers in 1970s upstate New York, transforming their young lives and igniting a landmark movement that fought to secure life-changing accessibility for millions.
Please note that this film is rated R for language, including sexual references. Additional content includes ableism, child abuse, institutionalization, drugs, smoking, racism, injuries, chronic illness, and discussion of sexual content, STIs, and pregnancy.
Subtitles will be available and we plan to take a 15-minute break halfway through the film. ADA parking and wheelchair accessible bathrooms available onsite. KN95 face masks will be available and HEPA air purification will be running in the meeting room.
