MACHO: THE PLAY!

Inspired by the acclaimed children’s book Macho No Machismo. A bilingual, musical play for youth and families. Presented by Austin author and educator Miguel Briones. This play is appropriate for all ages, but was created with 4th-6th graders in mind.

Institute and host of the TV talk show, El Show de Dr. Mercado. Audience members will hear from real Machos and Machismos as they unmask the mystery behind what makes someone a real MACHO. This page to the stage inspired performance features live theater, prerecorded media performances, and live musical performances. So take your seat, and quiet on set, because the cameras are rolling and you are officially an audience member in El Show de Dr. Mercado.
