Journey Through Time: Juneteenth Stories & Celebration

African & Mexican American Histories

Join us for a special Juneteenth celebration in partnership with ScriptedHOPE as we honor the intertwined histories of African and Mexican Americans in Texas. Discover the powerful legacy of the Southern Underground Railroad, the Black Seminoles of the 1850s, and the founding of Nacimiento through a rich storytelling presentation and historical display. Enjoy hands-on activities for all ages, including time capsule making, tissue paper flowers, invisible ink writing, head wrap design, and literacy practice.
