Professional Development for Emerging Artists & Curators
Artist Research and Collaboration
Please join us for a conversation with local Curator and Arts Leader, Coka Treviño.
We are proud to introduce the first presentation in our monthly limited-series Professional Development Program for Emerging Artists and Curators, developed in partnership with _OFCOLOR.
All are welcome! You do not need to be an artist or curator to attend.
About Coka: Coka Treviño is a curator and arts leader with over 20 years of experience fostering cultural engagement, supporting artists, and strengthening connections between creative communities and institutions.
Her work is rooted in a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; ensuring that exhibitions, programs, and collaborations reflect and elevate underrepresented voices. As Curator and Artistic Director at Big Medium, she shaped the organization’s curatorial vision, directed the Texas Biennial, and expanded opportunities for Texas artists through partnerships with international platforms like ZONA MACO and UNTITLED Art Fair.
Trevino leverages her expertise through independent curation and advisory work, collaborating with both public and private sector clients to develop culturally resonant art strategies, collections, and programs. Whether working with institutions, collectors, or community-driven initiatives, her approach remains anchored in artist advocacy, equitable practices, and meaningful storytelling.
