Wings at Dusk: Austin's Bats & Native Night Gardens

Roots and Wings Festival

Tuesday, October 20 - 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Windsor Park Branch
5833 Westminster Dr.

Come join Erin Cord of the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve will share the story of our city's famous Congress Avenue Bridge bat colony and why bats matter to a healthy urban ecosystem, from natural pest control to pollination. You'll leave with a new appreciation for what happens overhead after dark. Before you go, take home a free night-blooming native plant or tree sapling to start your own backyard habitat, giving the pollinators and bats a little more support!
