For the Page & Stage: Utilizing Poetic Forms for Slamming and Publication

with Badgerdog Creative Writing

In efforts to blend the written word and performance, this workshop is designed for poets who want to elevate their words for both performance and publication. For the Page & Stage explores some traditional, experimental, and challenging forms to utilize for slamming, performance, and/or solely page poetry, while highlighting the importance of literary tradition and within literary tradition, where that leaves contemporary poets today.

Learn the difference between Slamming & Spoken Word, why form is imperative to a writer's growth, and have the opportunity to share your work amongst others! Whether a seasoned poet or a first timer, all are welcome.
