Badger Dog Poetry Writing Workshop
In this National Poetry Month workshop, young writers will explore what poetry means to them and consider whether the art needs a single definition. We'll experiment with free-form poetry, learn a few fun literary devices, and read short examples to spark inspiration. Students will create their own poems and have a chance to share their work aloud. By the end of this workshop, each poet will leave with useful tools, interesting language, and the confidence to let their voices shine.
The Badgerdog Creative Writing program includes workshops for all ages, classroom-based lessons, and youth camps to inspire and guide our up-and-coming writers. Badgerdog is a program of The Library Foundation, which offers a range of enriching cultural and educational community programs for all ages in close partnership with the library.
