Tween Code Club: Code City-Program Your World

Build your own miniature smart city in this exciting STEM adventure! Using Scratch coding and micro:bits, young innovators will design and construct a tabletop cityscape complete with roads, buildings, and energy networks. Learn programming fundamentals to create autonomous vehicles that navigate through your city's streets and solve maze challenges. Experience with Scratch is helpful as students bring their futuristic urban vision to life. Perfect for budding engineers and urban planners who love to build, code, and problem-solve! (Ages 8-12)

By pre-registering for this 3-week series you should plan to attend these 3 dates:

  • Tuesday, September 16
  • Tuesday, September 23
  • Tuesday, September 30

All classes are from 6:00-7:00 PM in the 3rd Floor Tween Lounge at the Central Library.

Note: Children under age 10 must have a parent or guardian remain nearby during the program. Seating will be available near the program room.

First come first served. Space is limited. We recommend that you attend all 3 sessions; however, it is not necessary. It is beneficial to attend the first session.
