Shop or Donate

The Austin Public Library accepts donations of all books, no matter their condition, for sale at the Central Library and all Branches.

• We accept donations up to 2 grocery bags or standard-sized boxes (such as copy paper or banker's) worth of material. Please bring your 2 bags or boxes to the APL Shop at the Central Library or all branch locations during open hours. 
• Donations larger than 2 bags or boxes will be accepted by appointment only at the John Henry Faulk Building (800 Guadalupe St.). Please email recycled.reads@austintexas.gov to schedule a large donation.

The APL Shop sells Austin Public Library branded merchandise, book themed products, and unique, locally sourced gifts. All proceeds benefit Austin Public Library. 

Recycled Reads purchases are treated as donations. Accordingly, all sales are final and are not eligible for refunds.
