Review process: 

What is the application timeline? 
Applications for the 2026 festival are now open from November 24 to December 31, 2025. Authors, please review the eligibility criteria below and then submit your application!

When will I find out if I am invited to the festival?
The GAB Fest committee hopes to inform authors of our decisions on February 1, 2026.

Eligibility: 

To be eligible, you must answer “Yes” to all of the following: 

• I reside in Travis, Williams, or Hays County.
• I am 18 years old or older.
• I am self-published, published by an independent publishing house, and/or published through traditional publication means.
• I am willing to meet with fellow authors from the local area and interact with readers, and to connect with the Austin Central Library!
