Making & Crafting

Thanks for the Memories

a Cartonera program

The art of making Cartonera books started in Buenos Aires, Argentina during its 2001 economic crisis. It was a way to help “los cartoneros” or the collectors of paper and cardboard, by purchasing materials from them. These then were made into books filled with poetry, art, or social commentary.

Come and make your own self-made book out of cardboard and repurposed materials, and celebrate your memories at Recycled Reads
