Bats: An Illustrated Guide to All (Some) Species

Bat Talk Series by MTBC

With more than 1,500 species worldwide, about 20% of all mammal species, bats are remarkably diverse, from tiny insect-eaters to giant fruit bats. Through decades of photography from fieldwork on six continents, Dr. Merlin Tuttle reveals their fascinating behaviors and how they navigate the world. Most people don’t realize bats are living in their own backyards. This presentation follows a day and night in the lives of several species, showcasing just how different bats can be, even among themselves.

About Merlin Tuttle’s Bat Conservation:

No group of mammals has been more misunderstood, needlessly feared, or intensely persecuted than bats. Relying on a powerful combination of science, field knowledge, and photography, MTBC is helping save millions of bats, protecting public health, economies and worldwide ecosystems by teaching people to live harmoniously with bats through Merlin’s one-of-a-kind experience.
