Bilingual Beginner Birding Walk & Talk
featuring Travis Audubon
If you've ever wanted to learn more about local birds and how to identify them, now is your chance! Learn the basics of bird watching (aka birding) and go on a casual bird walk with Cynthia Roush and Jairo Peralta from Travis Audubon, Austin's oldest conservation organization. Hundreds of species of birds are found in Austin, so birding can be a fun and rewarding hobby without having to leave the city.
- Bird guides will be available to communicate in both English and Spanish.
- Bird field guides and binoculars will be provided.
- Walk will be at a slow and comfortable pace.
- Keep in mind this program begins before the Library opens. Please wait outside the front doors for the group to begin their walk.
- Please arrive around 9:45 if you want to borrow some binoculars.
- Please register at the link below. Registration is not required, it just helps us gauge how many folks will join us. (No need to make an account.)
