Garden Storytime: Worms & Compost

Combine stories with science in a special storytime at the North Austin Community Garden! We'll explore the natural world with books, songs, felts, and fingerplays. Afterward, create your own seasonal nature craft and enjoy guided tours of the garden, with a chance to savor fresh tastes from the harvest!

Location: This event takes place at the North Austin Community Garden, nestled behind the YMCA of North Austin—just across from the library.

This month we celebrate the importance of worms, compost, and soil in our gardens!  Visit with worms, help tear newspaper bedding for our vermicompost, and make your own worm-tea bag to take home!

Tips for a Great Experience:
This is an outdoor event with limited facilities, so bring a comfy blanket, dress for the weather, and be ready to explore!
