It's My Park Day!
Come celebrate our community for It's My Park Day! We will host some Austin Park Rangers who will share a Leave No Trace presentation and lead a park and creek clean up. Staff will be on site to answer questions about the water quality improvement project in Buttermilk Creek. Staff from the St. John's Branch library will also be on site to lead a spring craft from 11:00-12:00. All volunteers will get an It's My Park Day t-shirt designed by a local artist.
We will meet at the picnic table near the trail south of the library at 9:00 AM.
If you want to participate in the park and creek clean up, make sure to wear work clothes that can get dirty and shoes that can get wet. We will provide gloves, trash bags, and supplies for seed bombs and crafts. We will have a cooler with water, but please bring your own reusable water bottle. If you have your own trash grabber, you're welcome to bring it. Tell your friends and come out to spend a beautiful morning in nature in support of our parks.
*Anyone under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult in order to volunteer.
