Sharing the Night: Myths, Facts, and Living in Harmony with Bats

Bat Talk Series by MTBC

Although public perception of bats has improved over the last six decades Dr. Merlin D. Tuttle has advocated for them, bats remain among the world’s most endangered mammals despite their vital roles. Inspired by widespread fear and misunderstanding, this presentation introduces U.S. bats—highlighting Texas species—while debunking myths and sharing practical ways to coexist with our nocturnal neighbors.

About Merlin Tuttle’s Bat Conservation:

No group of mammals has been more misunderstood, needlessly feared, or intensely persecuted than bats. Relying on a powerful combination of science, field knowledge, and photography, MTBC is helping save millions of bats, protecting public health, economies and worldwide ecosystems by teaching people to live harmoniously with bats through Merlin’s one-of-a-kind experience.
