Austin Public Library Celebrates Creativity with Austin Studio Tour 2025

AUSTIN, TEXAS — October 2025
The Austin Public Library is once again joining the city’s vibrant arts community for the Austin Studio Tour 2025, a city-wide celebration of local artists, makers, and creative spaces. The Library will open its doors as a participating venue in this year’s tour, showcasing local talent and highlighting the power of public spaces to inspire imagination, collaboration, and discovery.

Austin Studio Tour, A free city-wide celebration of ArtThis year’s tour is produced by Almost Real Things, the Austin-based creative collective that took up stewardship of the event to “nurture a platform that genuinely supports the thousands of artists who define this city’s culture.”- Almost Real Things Their involvement helps keep the tour alive and ensures that both artists and community members can participate in meaningful and accessible ways.

At the Library, visitors can explore a curated selection of works from Austin-based artists exhibited throughout the Library’s public areas. From intricate weaving to paintings, the displays reflect the diversity and creative spirit that define Austin’s arts scene.

In addition to the exhibits, the Library will host a series of live art events, artist talks, and hands-on workshops throughout the month of November. Visitors are encouraged to pick up a free Studio Tour Catalog (while supplies last) at any library branch—each filled with maps, artist profiles, and event details to help Austinites explore the city’s neighborhoods and creative communities. All art tour information will also be available online!

The Austin Studio Tour, organized in part by Almost Real Things, runs November 8–9 & November 15–16, connecting hundreds of studios, galleries, and public venues across Austin. As part of this community-driven event, the Library celebrates not only the artists who share their work but also the audiences who make creativity a collective experience.

Whether you’re a long-time art lover or simply curious about what’s being made in your neighborhood, stop by the Library to see how public art and public spaces intersect. Together, we’re writing Austin’s next chapter in creativity.
