"AVANCE to College is a a model for the Parent-Child Education Program that aims to provide parents with the skills and knowledge necessary to improve their economic prospects while simultaneously supporting their children's educational growth. "

This group visited the library to learn about library services, participate in storytime, tour the library, and apply for library cards. 

Fifteen adults and 17 children participated in this effort lead by Irene Magana-Noverola, Heidy Urbina, and Rachele Merliss. Five parents signed for library cards.

ConnectFEST was a community event aimed at connecting families with educational programs, services, and support systems within ISD schools, and strengthening the bond between the community and Austin ISD.

Irene Magana-Noverola and Jane Sievert participated in this event and provided information about library services to families attending this event.

Women's History Month: The M-Factor Screening

HOT: The Exhibit, in partnership with APL, presents a special screening of The M Factor: Shredding the Silence on Menopause, a groundbreaking documentary film that explores the hidden impact of menopause on women's lives. Following the screening, join us for an empowering Q&A session led by Sophie Hunt, PA-C; MSCP from Menopause Clinic of Austin to discuss the film.

The film will start promptly at 5:45 pm.
